🏟️ Our Story
Soccer88 was built from the ground up with one market in mind: Malaysia. From Kuala Lumpur to Penang, from Liga Super derbies to live casino baccarat at midnight, we exist to give local players a platform that truly understands them.
Soccer88 started with a straightforward observation: Malaysian players were being underserved. The platforms available at the time were either built for overseas markets with clunky payment integrations, or they lacked the product depth that serious bettors expect. The founding team — a group of sports betting enthusiasts and technology professionals spread across Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya — decided to fix that.
The name soccer88 reflects exactly what the platform was first built around: football. More specifically, Malaysian football. Liga Super Malaysia matches, FA Cup fixtures, EPL weekends, Champions League nights — these are the events that our players care about most, and we wanted to cover them with depth, competitive odds, and market variety that genuinely rewarded knowledge.
From that football-first foundation, soccer88 expanded rapidly. Today the platform covers live casino games — baccarat, blackjack, roulette and sicbo with real human dealers streamed directly to your screen — alongside a growing slots library of over 500 titles from leading providers. Esports betting was a natural addition given the enormous popularity of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Dota 2, CS2, and Valorant among Malaysian youth in cities like Shah Alam, Johor Bahru, and Bangsar.
Every product decision at soccer88 passes through a simple filter: does this make the experience better for our Malaysian players? That means supporting DuitNow, Touch 'n Go eWallet, FPX, Boost, GrabPay, Maybank, CIMB, and Public Bank as standard payment options — not afterthoughts. It means keeping the minimum deposit at RM50 so the platform is accessible, not just aspirational. And it means investing in a support team that is genuinely available around the clock, not just during office hours.
We are proud of where soccer88 is today, and even more excited about where it is headed. Our product roadmap is driven by the feedback of real Malaysian players, and our commitment to fair play, transparent terms, and responsible gambling practices is non-negotiable regardless of how fast we grow.
Soccer88 is committed to responsible gambling. We provide deposit limits, session controls, and self-exclusion tools to all registered players. For players aged 21 and above only. If gambling is affecting your life, visit our Responsible Gambling page.
The principles that guide every decision we make at soccer88.
Every feature, every product update, and every policy change is evaluated through one lens: does it genuinely benefit our players? We do not add friction for its own sake and we do not hide fees.
Your funds and personal data are protected by 256-bit SSL encryption, two-factor authentication, and real-time fraud monitoring. Security is infrastructure at soccer88, not a feature we bolt on later.
Our odds are set fairly, our RTP figures are published where required, and our bonus terms are written in plain English. We believe transparency builds the kind of long-term trust that no promotion ever could.
Responsible gambling tools are built into the platform at the account level — not buried in a help section. Deposit limits, loss limits, reality checks, and self-exclusion are all accessible from day one.

Soccer88 is not a generic platform with a Malaysian payment method tacked on. It is a platform that was conceived, designed, and continuously improved with the Malaysian player in mind — from Kuala Lumpur city centre to the suburbs of Shah Alam and the northern shores of Penang.
Here is what that commitment looks like in practice, day to day.
